North West Dragons gain important win against Northerns

The win came on the back of Lesego Senokwane's (74 off 97 balls) and Shane Dadswell's (61 off 79 balls) who chased down the target of 221. 

The North West Dragons completed a fantastic 7 wicket win against Northerns in the CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge match in Pretoria this past Sunday, 23 February.

The win came on the back of Lesego Senokwane’s (74 off 97 balls) and Shane Dadswell’s (61 off 79 balls) who chased down the target of 221.

JD Diseko was also magnificent with his left arm spinning picking up 3/54 in 10 overs. Rubin Hermann also smashed 102 (133) for Northerns in a losing effort.

The CSA 3-day provincial cup match ended in a draw. Senokwane was once again in the thick of things with a brilliant 143 (324) in NW’s score of 311 all out. Northerns replied with 284/9 declared with Jonathan Vandiar hitting 104 (148).

In North West’s second innings they managed 145/3 with Yassar Cook (76 off 82 balls) and Nic Smit (59* off 99 balls) keeping the Northerns bowlers at bay.
