The Leopards has had a fantastic winning run in the past two weeks with a number of players central to this for various reasons. The Leopards beat the Griffons 36-26 at Olën Park and then overcame Boland 29-23 in Wellington I the past two weeks.
This after narrowly going down to the Valke by 34-36 a month ago in Brakpan. The Leopards also comfortably won their first match against EP by 50-29 in Gqeberha.

Here is a look at some of the top performers. (Photos: Mario van de Wall)
1. André Fouché
The flanker has been one of the shining lights for the Leopards this season, scoring important tries as well as being omnipresent in defence and attack. Fouché is a player who always looks for work and is an asset to any team he plays in.

2.Danrich Visagie
Danrich Visagie has taken to the captaincy role with aplomb in the absence of regular captain, Siya Mdaka, due to injury after the first match. Visagie’s educated left boot has also raced up the points from the tee, whilst his attacking play and vision has also created opportunities for the back line.

3.Robey Leibrandt
The former Valke hooker, has had a fantastic season not just in the line-outs and scrums but in open play as well scoring a couple of tries. Leibrandt has been a real workhorse this season and one of the most consistent players in the Leopards front row.

4.Vincent Maruping
Vincent Maruping has been a tower of strength for the Leopards as a lock with great work in the line-out and a solid wok rate. The towering lock has also been rock solid in defense and worked well in tandem with either Malembe Mpofu or Johan Retief as a lock pairing.

5.Tjaart Benade
The centre position has been one of the Leopards strengths this season due to the combination of Benade and Dries Truter. Benade is a silky customer at inside centre with the ability to be used as a crash ball presence in offense, whilst also being adept at finding the gap in the opposition defence. Had a brilliant game against the Griffons where he shoved off defenders with ease. Benade has had a great couple of years, coming through the club system before solidifying himself at provincial level.
