The Leopards Rugby Union hosted their Leopards Women Year End function on Wednesday, 20 October at Route 96. The big winner on the evening was the Leopards’ Springbok centre, Jakkie Cilliers, who walked away with the Player of the Year award after a terrific season.

What makes her award that much more special, is that she only started playing rugby for the Leopards this year. The forward of the year award went to Khumo Sefako with the Back of the Year award going to Azinani Ngantweni.

The Leopards had a shorter season than usual due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic but still held their own playing top rugby and producing a Springbok star in the process.
