NWU fall just short in intervarsity tennis

According to NWU head tennis coach Riaan Venter, this tournament was great exposure for his players.

The North-West University’s top tennis players competed in an intervarsity tennis tournament last weekend (29–31 July) at the Fanie du Toit Sports Grounds.
The NWU competed against the University of Pretoria (Tuks) and the University of the Free State (Kovsies) in men’s singles, women’s singles, and doubles matches.

According to NWU head tennis coach Riaan Venter, this tournament was great exposure for his players.
“This was an important tournament, where the standard of tennis was very high. Even though our players could not take the victory in their respective finals, they still played great tennis, picking up victories along the way,” he mentioned.
