North-West Dragons Women’s pace bowler, Nthabiseng Nini, is relishing the opportunity to show her skills to national selectors at the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Women’s High-Performance Skills Camp in Tshwane.
This is a chance for the former Ikageng Hub and HTS Potch speedster to stamp her authority at the highest level as the road towards a senior Proteas call-up, heads ever closer.
Nini (20) previously represented the SA U19 Women last year, which to her was a huge honour. She believes that she has grown immensely as a cricketer in the past couple of months.

“The last 12 months have been massive for my development. I’ve become more consistent with my basics, and I’ve also grown tactically, understanding when to attack, when to be patient, and how to set batters up better,” she added.
The High-Performance camp has made Nini realise what’s needed to perform at the top level, as she has been rubbing shoulders with Proteas players and former Dragons such as Tazmin Brits, Anneke Bosch and Sinalo Jafta.
“In 2026, I want to be formally established in senior domestic cricket and consistently performing at that level. My ambition is to keep pushing closer to national selection by earning opportunities and making an impact when they come. Ultimately, I want to keep improving every aspect of my game and give myself the best chance to represent South Africa at the highest level,” explained Nini.
