A homeless man has finally been reunited with his family after living on the streets for a few years.

According to a Facebook post, that has been trending since heritage day, made by Kuda Chigariro she‎ usually saw a pair of friends who were homeless at the traffic lights in Linden in Johannesburg. On a particular day, one of the homeless men was not present. She then spoke with the other man while the traffic light was red. Chigariro found out that the young man’s name is Jonathan Prinsloo (25) from Potchefstroom. In her post, she asked that people share her post so that Prinsloo could reconnect with his family. He had not spoken to them in over five years.

The post went viral and had the desired effect. “Just from hearing about his life, I could see that Jonathan Prinsloo is ready to live the life God has set before him,” Chigariro said.

The Herald tried to reach out to the family but according to Chigariro, they would like some privacy for a while as it is a personal matter.
