Annie van der Merwe was one of the top runners who finished third in her category.

The North-West Cross Country League took place this past weekend at the NWU and featured several learners from Ferdies who participated in the 4km girl’s race. Among the group of learners, five of them finished in the top ten with Annie van der Merwe finishing in third place and securing a bronze medal.

The other learners also displayed strong performances with Abby Vosloo finishing just behind Annie in fourth place. Mika Fourie, Faseeha Sooliman, and Bokamoso Moshoaliba all finished 8th, 9th and 10th respectively. Outside the top ten Ferdies had four learners who did well with Imaan Sooliman, Ghian Hattingh finishing 11th and 15th while Zander Barnard and Rias Scholtz both tying for 12th place.
