Mile High fighters show their skill

Mile High Kickboxing and Shidokaun fighters takes the fighting cage by storm during their first tournament of the year.

The fighters of Mile High Kickboxing Club and Shidokaun went all out to destroy their opponents in the cage during their first tournament of the year which took place on 1 March at Siyabaya Casino in Durban.

With great training by Mile High Trainer, himself a legend in the sport, Henk Pelser, they were hard to defeat.

First up was Gert “Hellhound” Jacobs who showed great heart.

He was punched and kicked but didn’t give up. He held out until he saw a gap, taking his opponent down with a gelatin choke and winning the fight in the first round.

Robbie “The Gaint” Streak was up next and showed what it takes to be a Mile High fighter.

He went all in and took the gold by rear naked choke in the second round.

Jaco “The Boertjie” Louw then stepped into the ring and in a blink of an eye the fight was over for his opponent.

He totally overpowered his fight and won in just 36 seconds of the first round.

Karin from Mile High was fit and ready for a fight but her opponent withdrew.

The fighters of Mile High strive to win every fight and with the fully equipped gym and MMA training area, no club in south Africa will be able to compete with their training programme.

“We have serious fighters at Mile High and the gym is now newly redone,” says Henk.

“It will be knowed as the XXX gym.”
