POLOKWANE – Mitchell House College gr. 12 learners wrote their final senior certificate examination, Afrikaans, on Wednesday.
They shared with Review how they experienced the paper, with most of them saying it was manageable.
Telicia Pakkiri said the paper was tough but manageable, and Nelly Matlala said it was challenging but good.
Ilhaam Tayob felt the examination went well, while Zhané Saais described it as “awesome”.
Asked what they would be doing the day after the examination, most replied they would be sleeping.
“I am going to have a one-on-one with my bed,” said Lindela Ngendane.
Other learners said they would either be at home relaxing or enjoying their free time with their friends.
Nelly Matlala said she was going to start preparing for her brother’s wedding.
Phathu Sitholimela and Thoriso Rampedi planned on going to the salon to get their hair done.
After they wrote the final examination, the learners and their teachers, Claude Goeminne, Sandy Hudson, Sonya Rahimi, Miranda de Bruin, Andrew Cook and Tiri Takawira gathered in the staff room where they enjoyed pizza and cooldrinks.
“I want to thank all the gr. 12s for their good behaviour throughout the year, especially during the examinations,” said the headmaster, Cook.
“Thank you to the staff for the way they prepared the learners for the examinations.”
Thoriso Rampedi thanked the teachers for never giving up on them.
