POLOKWANE – Miss Congeniality pageant organiser, Terry Whitehead stressed the importance of giving back to one’s community during the official hand-over of stationery valued at R2 500 to Noddy’s Pre-School last Tuesday.
The third Miss Congeniality and the first Mr Congeniality were crowned in December, and the money raised at the event was used to buy the stationery.
“The stationery packs contained five packs of printing paper with 500 sheets per pack, which the children will use for drawing and stationery for the teachers, which included pens, pencils, glue sticks and scissors. There were also sweets and 60 colouring books,” Whitehead said.
Leonne van Wyk, a teacher and owner of Noddy’s Pre-School thanked Whitehead for the donation and challenged others to follow her example and get more involved in their communities.
