Safe dance sets the party scene on fire

Mitchell House College's learners were treated to a night out when U-PARTY visited the city on Saturday.

POLOKWANE – Mitchell House College’s learners were treated to a night out when U-PARTY visited the city on Saturday.

The U-PARTY was held at Mall of the North and saw DJ Euphonik perform with top local DJs Lanino and MKG as well as the Chemical Dance Reaction Crew.

Achsah Phosoko, Mitchell House’s director of marketing, said there were a few opportunities of this kind available to young people.

“We would like to provide the community with a safe, tried and tested, option where learners can go out and have fun partying but without all the negative influences.

“The event also provided an opportunity for local under 18 DJs and performers to showcase their talents,” said Phoshoko.

“The U-PARTY helps schools and charities to raise funds by hosting exciting under 18 socials.

“U-PARTY has developed these socials to such a degree that they can claim to be the most successful under 18 social production company in South Africa.

“Their reputation has been built on a solid foundation of providing entertainment to high school learners in an environment that remains safe and secure. This is all thanks to various industry partners including ER24, Gemini DJ, Bhejane Events, AVIS, Universal Music, EMI Music, Puma, Optimus01 and Wharfedale Pro,” she said.

Mitchell House learner Tshepang Mokomane said she was overjoyed that the school organised a social event for the learners.

“It was nice and a lot of fun. It was also nice to have a DJ such as Euphonik DJ for us.

“We enjoyed partying off the school grounds where learners from other schools were welcomed. We really had fun,” she said.
