Malema denounced by SACP

JULIUS Malema's "government in waiting", the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), does not have money to register with the Independent Election Commission (IEC)

JULIUS Malema’s “government in waiting”, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), does not have money to register with the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and also doesn’t have posters, so don’t follow him.

This was according to Clyne Kekana, a political commissar from the South African Communist Party in the Castro Pilusa district, when delivering a message of support at the ANC election campaign held in Zebediela on Saturday.

He said if a child revolted against his parents, he would receive support from other children just because they were still children. “Some kids are nasty when their stomaches are full. He is not the first son to revolt against the ANC; Robert Sebukwe, Genl Bantu Holomisa, and Terror Lekota did so too, but never succeeded. He has no respect, so how can he rule the country.

“Those who are revolting against the ANC should know that we will rule until achieving everything in our plans. The ANC is the only party that led the people to Canaan.

“The imperialist media that says president Jacob Zuma doesn’t know how to read should know that our country achieved so many things under him. Hands off Zuma, hands off!” he said.

Jimmy Ngobeni from Cosatu said Malema was a boy who never worked as a soldier yet called himself “commander”. “What kind of commander is he when he never joined the army?” he asked.

“Numsa is a member of Cosatu and they will vote for the ANC. Workers should wear ANC T-shirts when going to their different workplaces on Fridays because we have declared Friday as ANC Friday. There is no employer who is going to charge them,” he said.

Lazzy Ledwaba, an ANCYL regional task team leader in the Peter Mokaba region said the time for young people to drink alcohol day and night was gone with the ANCYL’s disbanded leadership.

He expressed his concern that the Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality did not have any programmes benefiting the youth in the area. “The youth are not getting employment under this municipality and nobody explains why,” he stated.

The campaign leader, public works MEC Dickson Masemola, said the route to freedom was rocky and surrounded by death. He told the people of Zebediela to think of those who died for freedom. Masemola said people were now enjoying the fruits of democracy because of the ANC and they should honour former president Nelson Mandela by voting for the ANC.

According to Masemola, the ANC-led government provided millions of South Africans with clean water, electricity, houses, hospitals, clinics, health centres, schools, access roads, and improved the gr. 12 pass rate.

“Education is open to everyone and the government is going to build more FET colleges countrywide,” he said.

“Those who don’t have houses and electricity are not forgotten, they should be patient as the ANC government wants to deliver for them,” he added.

He further spoke about crime against women and children, saying the ANCE was taken aback by such crimes.

“Working together with pastors, traditional leaders and other structures, we can conquer crime. African people are known for working hard to provide for their families with food, so lets go back to the fields and plough in order to conquer hunger,” Masemola said.
