POLOKWANE – Fifty gr. 8 Stanford Lake College (SLC) learners had the chance to go on the Iron Crown Escapade between February 17 and 19.

“Every year the learners get different routes and expeditions to complete and this was the first of the year. These expeditions give learners the chance to gain better knowledge of the beautiful sights in the country. Well done to all the learners on their adventure,” Rona McGaffin, marketer for SLC said.

Accompanied by school personnel, the young explorers were taken out of their comfort zones and pushed to their limits on this trek through the Wolkberg.

Despite the hot weather and their aching legs, everyone managed to reach the summit of the highest mountain in Limpopo, the Iron Crown.
