POLOKWANE – Mitchell House College hosted an open day last Tuesday, with learners from different schools and their parents attending a tour of the school, led by Mitchell House principal, Andrew Cook.

Some of the highlights of the tour included the demonstration of several scientific experiments by Mitchell House College learners and a performance in the theatre by drama club members, Manjase Phiri, Mosebjadi Kekana, Lebogang Mabitsela and Kgoao Mametja.

Cook took the visitors through a short summary of the school’s history, and shared the school’s future plans. He said French would be offered as a third language subject and drama would also be one of the school’s subjects as from next year.

Cook also mentioned that Mitchell House College’s choir was awarded a gold award at this year’s ATKV Applous competition, which took place last Monday.

Besides the wide range of subjects offered by the college, the school also offers excellent boarding facilities.

“I am very excited to meet the new learners who will become part of our family at Mitchell House College,” Cook said.
