Learners step into future of learning

Having access to the best equipment possible when it comes to educating children is very important, says Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord principal, Attie Visagie.

POLOKWANE – Having access to the best equipment possible when it comes to educating children is very important, says Laerskool Pietersburg-Noord principal, Attie Visagie.

With this in mind, the school recently built a new state-of-the-art computer centre.

The centre boasts 51 computers, internet access and an interactive whiteboard.

It is also used as a training centre for Stimulus Maksima classes.

Owner of Stimulus Maksima, Debbie Kampherbeek, said there were no words to describe the absolute excitement generated by the new computer centre.

“This computer centre has opened up endless possibilities for the school,” she said.

The Stimulus Maksima programme has been part of the school for more than five years and is now part of the curriculum.

Visagie said the school’s personnel and learners were very proud of the centre.

He said he was grateful that there were people who cared about the children and their education.

“We work hard to get it right and to see the learners’ progress.

“It is when an initiative of this magnitude falls in place that the fruit of all the hard work is visible,” he said.
