POLOKWANE – Learners, teachers and parents from Pemps collected warm clothes, blankets and shoes for two weeks and donated these goods to the Mankweng Drop-in Centre on Monday.
“This is an annual initiative at the school. We try to involve learners and their parents in charity work. The learners learn the value of giving to those less fortunate,” said Desiree Conradie, Pemps’ principal.
On Monday afternoon, the learners and teachers packed all the donated goods into boxes and loaded the boxes into the school taxi to be delivered to the drop-in centre by prefects and teachers.
The delivery team also spent an afternoon with the children at the centre.
