POLOKWANE – Jonathan Harris (8) says he is the happiest when he is drawing and colouring in.
Jonathan is a gr. 2 Pepps Polokwane Preparatory School learner and says he is fond of his class teacher, Anna Parkin. “She gives us very exciting things to draw like wild animals and I really like drawing animals,” he says.
Anna says she thinks Jonathan is very talented and that she can see he enjoys the art class very much.
Asked what his favourite colour is, Jonathan replies, “red”, and his best friends, Zino Mengouchi and Lesiba Choshi share his passion for this colour. He says one of his favourite things to draw is the Titanic.
“I like painting and colouring in. My most favourite thing to do is playing soccer, my second favourite is drawing and colouring in,” he says.
Jonathan would like to one day become a soccer coach, and says Robin van Persie from The Nethlerlands is his favourite player soccer player.
He says the hardest soccer game he himself has played, was against Eagle’s Nest Christian School earlier in the year. Jonathan looks forward to more art classes this year and “maybe a little soccer too”.
