Kids jump for joy at star’s donation of trampoline

GOSPEL artist, Mercy Masakona Madzivhandila, from Lwamondo near Thohoyandou, opened her heart and donated a trampoline to the Sunday school children at Mugomeli Lutheran Church on Saturday.

Madzivhandila said her donation was her way of doing something for the community. She said a trampoline on the church premises would be a big attraction to children, especially those on the streets.

“God says we must let children come to His kingdom.

“If children are going to the house of God, we should support them by giving them educational toys and something for recreation,” she explained.

“If children can get a safe place to play, it will save them from falling into the hands of criminals.”

Madzivhandila said she also taught piano and hosted workshops for gospel groups.

“I have an honours degree in music from the University of Venda and now I am busy with my masters in music at the same institution. Recently I released a new album, Dzina Lawe,” said Madzivhandila.

Rev Avhashoni Matamela of the Mugomeli Lutheran Church said the entire congregation was happy to receive this donation from the gospel artist.

“We will support her by buying her music,” said Matamela.
