LEVUBU – Three schools competed on the athletics field at El Baruch Academy’s fun day on August 16.
El Baruch hosted this event to help their athletes prepare for the Limpopo Christian Schools Sports Association (LICSSA) championships that will take place on September 5.
Athletes form Laerskool Levubu, Divine Kingdom School and El Baruch Academy showed their mettle in items like sprints, long distances, field items and relays. The first three athletes in each division won medals.
Divine Kingdom’s athletes were the overall winners of the day, while El Baruch walked away with the spirit trophy.
Duncan Koekemoer and Tshiwela Mashau of El Baruch Academy won the junior athlete of the day trophies, while Nicole Fourie and Masixole Ncontsa also of El Baruch Academy, were announced the senior athletes of the day.
