Do not let the uncertainty of the future cloud the opportunities that are just around the corner; your future lies ahead of you and all you have to do is make a choice, the right choice.

POLOKWANE – Do not let the uncertainty of the future cloud the opportunities that are just around the corner; your future lies ahead of you and all you have to do is make a choice, the right choice.

These words of encouragement are often shared by the management of CTU Polokwane when they speak to gr. 12 learners in the city.

CTU Training Solutions was established in 1987 and specialises in skills development training across various fields in the education and training industry.

CTU, as a training provider in the information and communications training (ICT) and development market, started as a small training centre with only two lecture rooms. Now, 25 years later, the company employs over 220 personnel and has a national footprint of 14 locations nationwide.

CTU Polokwane employs 22 people and caters for 126 students, with the goal of extending the campus capacity with another 200 students next year.

CTU does not sell programmes without certifications, national or international. This is what differentiates them from most of their competitors.

Their facilitator-led programmes are occupation focused and deve-loped, and updated regularly according to new technological deve-lopments and market trends.

New programmes are regularly added to the full time programme.

The full time programme offers studies in human resources, project management, finance, office admin, computer aided drafting and many more. The institution’s small classes ensure individual attention for each student, with emphasis on practical training.

CTU has a Student Life @ CTU programme managed by CTU personnel and the campus student representative council, with some activities executed on a national level.

The Workplace Experience programme enables learners to become familiar with the corporate environment through various field trips and internship programmes hosted by participating corporate clients.

Their recruitment division forms an integral part of the CTU human resource development solution offering and working towards a vision of lifelong learning with an absolute passion for the development of ICT professionals.

The company is also one of the largest testing partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, doing an annual average of 11 000 exams at their 15 test centres, with their dedicated test centres being proctored by professional certified test centre administrators.

CTU has received several awards:

• PMR Africa golden arrow award in 2014.

• Microsoft gold certified partner.

• Comtia platinum authorised partner.

• Named a Top 20 workforce deve-lopment list company in 2014.
