Learners from Mitchell House College took part in the ATKV Waterberg Arts Festival in Bela Bela on August 20.
Schools that participated in the competition included schools for the performing arts as well as academic schools.
Mitchell House’s gr. 8 and 9 learners took part in the dramatised poetry speaking choir category and obtained excellent results:
• The gr. 8 learners obtained 95%.
• The gr. 9 learners obtained 97%.
“We did so well that we are now awaiting confirmation of a possible performance at the Pretoria State Theatre.
“I am very proud of the learners,” said Juanita van der Heever, their coach.
