POLOKWANE – Noorderland High School learners were awarded for their achievements in various categories during the year at the school’s award ceremony recently.
In athletics, learners were awarded for their achievements in various tournaments.
Fanisa Baloyi won two gold medals and a silver medal at the Prescomm athletics meeting, Phumlane Ndlovu received three silver medals at the Marius Lengton athletics competition, while Andy Matlala was named second best hockey player at the University of Limpopo hockey tournament.
Learners who took part in debate tournaments were also awarded for their achievements.
Molatelo Tlowana, Isaiah Ramakgolo and Norma Monama were selected to represent the province at the upcoming national schools debating tournament in Stellenbosch from December 13 to 18.
The school awarded the top 10 academic achievers in each grade from gr. 8 to 11.
