POLOKWANE – Taxila Secondary School held their annual prize-giving ceremony in the Nirvana Primary School hall last Thursday evening.
The awards ceremony started with a farewell to the present prefects and the induction of the new prefects.
The principal, Thlou Ramara, said the purpose of the prize-giving was to show the learners, parents and teachers that their efforts throughout the year were appreciated.
“Congratulations to all the learners who received an award and I wish, especially the gr. 12 learners, all the best on the future journey. May you reach success in your studies and future plans. To the other learners, continue working hard and you will reap the fruit of your hard work. I encourage parents to support their children as they are the leaders of tomorrow,” Ramara said.
The top learners of each grade were:
• Mothekgi Phasha – gr. 8.
• Rejoice Mukosi and Tshegofatso Seorka – gr. 9.
• Mpho Ndlovu – gr. 10.
• Paayal Shrivasta – gr. 11.
• Lethabo Kola – gr. 12.
