SESHEGO – Boiletlo Primary School in Seshego zone 3 awarded the top achievers on Friday and also bid farewell to the gr. 7 learners.
The principal, Charles Mojapelo, said the aim of the award ceremony was to encourage the learners to work hard.
“We want to culminate a culture of learning and competition among the learners and by so doing, the overall performance of the school will increase.
“This is the right time when the learners need to be motivated because they are about to write examinations.
“The school expects more from the gr. 7 learners when they reach high school,” said Mojapelo.
Dibona Peggy Matladi, a University of Limpopo lecturer and motivational speaker, said learners must choose their career wisely.
“Most of the learners are destroying their future whereas they can focus on their studies.
“We want to see them prosper in life.
“Tomorrow starts today. I believe that every learner here knows what field of studies they are going to take.
“If you know what you want in life nothing will change you. We want to see you after five years in gr. 12 passing with flying colours,” she said.
