POLOKWANE – Mitchell House hosted an emotional intelligence workshop last Saturday, an initiative that the Mitchell House Parents’ Association came up with.

The workshop was presented by Hennie Vorster, a motivational speaker and business- and life coach psychologist.

He covered topics that included the ability to identify, use, understand, and manage emotions in positive ways as well as how to communicate effectively, empathise with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.

“The aim of this workshop was for parents and teachers to learn how to know and best manage their own emotions and that of their children,” Mitchell House head, Andrew Cook, explained.
