LOUIS TRICHARDT – The school year is coming to an end and gr. 7 learners will soon start a new phase in their lives; high school.
Review spoke to a few gr. 7 learners from Soutpansberg Primary School in Louis Trichardt to find out which high school they planned to attend next year and how they felt about this next big step in their educational careers.

Paradigm Mabade said she couldn’t wait to go to high school.
“I feel so proud to say that I will go to Hoërskool Louis Trichardt, but I am also scared. I do not know what I will have to face in high school and that is a little daunting,” she said.

Lulama Muthavhine said sport was a major factor in choosing a high school.
“I love sport and I know that Hoërskool Louis Trichardt offers many sporting opportunities to learners.
“I am happy and nervous at the same time. I often get butterflies in my tummy when I think about high school,” Lulama said.

Mutshidzi Sadiki was not scared of high school.
“I will go to Hoërskool Louis Trichardt next year and I don’t think the work will be much harder than in primary school.
“I am nervous though, as I don’t know what to expect. But I am not scared of high school,” she said.
“I still have to choose between Hoërskool Louis Trichardt and Emmanuel Christian School in Louis Trichardt.
“I have been accepted at Hoërskool Louis Trichardt and will write an entry exam for Emmanuel shortly. I hope to go to Emmanuel because they are very focused on academics. They offer the best education and I am not really into sport,” De Laura Jordan said.

Rofhiwa Kutama said he would attend Ridgeway College in Louis Trichardt next year.
“I want to go to Ridgeway because they are focused on academics.
“It is easier to reach your goal when every learner gets individual attention like they do at Ridgeway. I also love sport and Ridgeway offers excellent sports opportunities,” he said.

Shawn Nemaduluni said he would like to go to Hoërskool Merensky in Tzaneen.
“I would like to go to a school that is far away, as I want to prepare myself and my mother for university.
“I know that it will be hard for her when I go away, but then when I go to university, she will be used to it.
“I would also like to go to Ridgeway College in Louis Trichardt, but my mom and I will make this decision after the exams,” he said.
