Modiegi wins 6 awards for achievements at PEMPS

Pemps gr. 7 learner, Modiegi Motswaledi, was named the school's top academic achiever for 2014.

POLOKWANE – Pemps gr. 7 learner, Modiegi Motswaledi, was named the school’s top academic achiever for 2014.

Motswaledi won this award at the school’s prize-giving ceremony last Wednesday.

She was also awarded as the top achiever in science, won the leadership award, was named sports girl of the year and most enthusiastic sports girl, and also won the trophy for the most outstanding gr. 7 netball player.

Motswaledi said hard work and determination helped her to succeed.

“Pemps is a very good school and it gives learners a good foundation. The teachers encourage us to work hard,” she said.

She said she planned to join Pretoria Girls High in gr. 8 next year and would like to study psychology after school.

Desiré Conradie, Pemps principal, said Motswaledi was a brilliant learner who always went the extra mile to achieve excellent results.

“She is talented, humble and an academic all-rounder. I have faith in her and I see a bright future for this hard worker” said Conradie.
