POLOKWANE – After a lot of studying and many sleepless nights, gr. 12 learners across the nation breathed a sigh of relief on Tuesday after writing the English paper 3, which was the last examination paper for this year for most.
Learners were excited that their examinations were finally finished, and many learners were seen autographing each other’s school shirts.
Review spoke to Noorderland High School learners to find out how they experienced the examinations and what their plans for the holidays were.
Florence Mathebula said the examinations were tricky and physical science was challenging.
“We are now done with the exams and I just want to have fun with my friends and family. I will think about other things in January after getting my results,” Florence said.
Linah Lekganyane said she did her best in all the subjects and hoped to reap the rewards.
“I am a bit frustrated but I am sure my friends will cheer me up. “The festive season means having fun, but I do not plan to buy anyone a present,” she said.
Dineo Keshebang said the examinations were “cool” and she would be partying during the holidays.
“I did my best during the examinations and I believe my results will be perfect. I will be having fun with my friends, but my family comes first,” she said.
Lebogang Mogoboya said the examinations were not that tough except for the chemistry paper.
“But I have a feeling that I did well. I do not plan to go away for the holidays or visit anyone during the festive season. I just want to be home with my family.”
Maphuti Mothata said the examinations were a bit challenging, but hoped she and the other learners had made it.
She said she would work as a waiter during the festive season to keep herself busy and earn money.
Thabang Mmotlana said the examinations were challenging. She said she applied for a part time job to keep herself busy during the holidays.
