POLOKWANE – Gr.7 learners from Good Hope Primary School say they are very excited to start high school, but also afraid of the new environment and challenges high school has to offer.
Review asked a few of the learners what they think the difference is between high and primary school and also what they would like to become one day, this is what they had to say:

“I think the difference between high and primary school is the work load. In primary school we did not have a lot of work, but in high school we have to decide what we want to be in future and select our subjects according to the direction of our future occupation and work hard to get good results in those subjects.”

“When I finish school I want to study medicine and become a doctor who helps people especially in the rural areas.”

“In primary school you are the eldest and can boss other children around. One day I would like to be a scientist.”

“In primary school we don’t really work that hard. The work is easy and not a lot, but in high school there is a lot of work, so we will have to work and study harder than in primary school. I look forward to become a lawyer one day to get people out of trouble.”
