Gr. R learners say what they learned first year of school

Gr. R learners from Good Hope Primary School are very excited to start gr. 1 next year and Review asked a few of the learners what they learned in gr. R this year.

POLOKWANE – Gr. R learners from Good Hope Primary School are very excited to start gr. 1 next year and Review asked a few of the learners what they learned in gr. R this year. This is what they had to say:

Seven-year- old John Buys says he has the best gr. R teacher, because she taught him shapes and colours.  "I can identify different shapes and in our classroom my teacher has different shapes in different colours on the wall."

Six-year-old Elzano Slimmers says his teacher taught him the alphabet and he knows it from A to Z. "My teacher made rhyme out of the alphabet which made it easy and fun for me to remember."

Five-year-old Rozetta Monyaka says she loves her teacher because her teacher taught her the days of the week. "It is fun learning the days of the week,because my teacher made a song out of it. We also have a song for the months of the year."
