POLOKWANE – Learners of the Curro Heuwelkruin Pre-school said they really enjoyed their athletics meeting on Saturday.
Each “athlete” who participated received a gold medal and the theme of the meeting was: Everyone is a Winner.
The athletes competed against their classmates in the Ostrich, Owl, Flamingo, Parrot, Penguin, Duckling and Peacock classes.
Each class had a gazebo that the parents and teachers decorated beautifully.
The gr. R athletes competed in five items: long jump, shot put, long distance running, short distance running and hurdles.
The three-year-old and gr. RR athletes competed in a “steeple chase” race.
During this steeple chase, the athletes had to jump in and out of a tyre and two hula-hoops.
Thereafter, they had to run around cones and crawl underneath a table before they ran to the finish line.
The school thanked the parents for their support and contributions and for decorating each class’ gazebo.
