POLOKWANE – Mitchell House College learners, teachers and former learners enjoyed a fun filled day last Friday as they celebrated the school’s 21st anniversary.
The day was filled with various fun activities which included a trolley race, netball and soccer matches and a water festival.
Captain Benjamin and The Band provided the entertainment with the help of the school choir.
A time capsule, which contained the school’s uniform, time tables, letters and a copy of Review was buried and the headmaster Andrew Cook said it would be retrieved in 2035.
He said the time capsule was a legacy that would live on.
“Those who are in school now will be remembered in 2035.
“I am sure most of us will not be around to witness the moment when the new staff and learners retrieve the time capsule,” said Cook.
Achsah Phoshoko, Mitchell House director of marketing, said everyone who attended the ceremony had fun, and thanked every person and organisation who helped to make the day a success.
