POLOKWANE – Ridgeway College’s drama club was announced as the winner of the One Act Drama competition at Mitchell House on Thursday evening.
During this theatrical competition, Ridgeway shared the stage with Mitchell House and Stanford Lake College.
Ridgeway won for their performance of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s The Love of the Nightingale.
Stanford Lake performed Nobody Famous by playwright, DM Larson, while Mitchell House put on the play, Selfie by playwright, Bradley Howard.
Sechaba Madisha of Mitchell House was named the best actor, while KK Mametja also from Mitchell House was named best actress.
Achsah Phoshoko, Mitchell House director of marketing, said the One Act Drama competition alternated among the three schools every year.
She said the competition went well and all the plays were well staged.
“Congratulations to Ridgeway College for claiming the first prize,” said Phoshoko.
