POLOKWANE – BUILDERS Trade Depot sponsored litres of paint to Westenburg Secondary School, and the fence was painted last Friday.
Employees from Builders Trade Deport helped learners from Westenburg Secondary School to paint the school fence.
The fence was painted in the school colours, which are blue, yellow and white. The learners were divided into three groups and each group had a colour to paint.
Jimmy Steele, acting principal, said he approached Builders Trade Depot in September to ask them if they were willing to get involved with the school.
“I received a very positive response to my proposal. At the end of last year personnel from Builders Trade Depot came to the school to see what the school needs and school management asked for the fence to be painted, and Builders Trade Depot agreed. They did not only sponsor the paint, but also helped to paint the fence. They also supplied music to entertain us while we were busy painting,” Steele said.
He thanked Builders Trade Depot for supporting the school and giving back to the Westenburg community.
