POLOKWANE- The flexible and skilled sushi chef at Nguni Grill spoils customers to freshly prepared sushi and sushi platters.
Chef Derick Chauke says making sushi is like a work of art and he enjoys it.
“I put my mind and heart in it. When I prepare the sushi, I always make sure the customers are satisfied because they are very important,” he says.
Chauke says his brother, who is a former Nguni employee, trained him to make the best sushi and he also had training in Cape Town.
“It took me three weeks to master the art of making sushi, I can now make it with my eyes closed, that’s how good I am.”
He says he serves fresh sushi and sushi platters, along with a salmon platter, mixed platter and Nguni prawn.
Nguni owner and manager, Hannes Willemse, says they serve sushi Monday to Saturday from 11:00 to 23:00.
“Come for a mouth watering sushi experience,” he says.
Nguni also offers specials throughout the week, where a good meal only costs R50. The friendly staff at Nguni look forward to serving you.
