POLOKWANE – The nation celebrated national Women’s Day on Sunday and with this in mind, First National Bank’s (FNB) management team invited local women to a tea party at Country Blue overnight accommodation last Tuesday.
The women were treated to delicious cupcakes and tea as they gathered and discussed issues that were important to them as women. Frenette Brandon from Momentum, urged women to frequently do breast examinations. “It will be best to diagnose breast cancer at an early stage, you can also visit www.pinkdrive.co.za for more information on breast cancer,” she explained. Another powerful woman, Gerda Jacobs-Roos, a financial advisor at FNB, encouraged women to save and invest their money.
“Women should work according to their budget. When you get your salary, you should have priorities on what to pay first and spend 15% on yourself,” she says.
Women should keep to a strict financial management system, those were the words from Erika Lotz during the Women’s Month commemoration. “As a woman, you need to spread your finances across and still have a balanced life. Your attitude of how you wake up in the morning determines your success,” she explains. She advised women to be strong-minded and have a soft heart. “Kindness has never left a scar, so be kind to everyone,” she concludes.
All the women who attended the event received a gift bag from FNB, they said that they would treasure and practice what they have learnt.
