LIMPOPO – The police are investigating the gruesome murder of a three-year-old boy and his alleged killer.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, Frederick Makeke (3) from Eldorado village in Maleboho was killed yesterday afternoon, with his head and private parts cut off.
“The incident happened at the home of the boy’s grandparents. According to information, the boy and another child were sleeping on the veranda when the suspect allegedly took him to another house on the same property. It was only when the uncle of the boy returned from work during lunch when it was found that the boy was missing,” said Otto.
His body was found on a bed in one of the bedrooms of the house, with his head and body parts lying next to the body, as well as a knife wrapped in a cloth, said Otto.
She said the community accused a man only known as Emmanuel, who was hired to work on the roof of the family home of the murder and assaulted him before hanging him.
No arrests have been made yet and investigations into both murders are continue.
“Muti allegations form part of the investigations,” Otto said.
