David Mantsho, a Moletjie taxi owner who is reportedly prominent in the area, will appear in the Seshego Magistrate’s Court again on Monday facing charges of attempted murder after allegedly shooting his wife on Friday evening.
Seshego Police Spokesperson Mothemane Malefo yesterday (Wednesday) said the case proceeded in court late on Tuesday. “The bail application could not be finalised and will continue in court on Monday. Mantsho remains in custody,” Malefo said.
Mantsho is believed to have shot his wife after an argument between the two. It is reported that the wife called the Police but had to wait for them to arrive at a local shop. Mantsho allegedly followed her and started shooting. She was hit in the chest, thigh and buttocks.
Malefo confirmed that she was in a stable condition and recuperating well in a local hospital.
