GAAL: local business roped in to conduct massive project

POLOKWANE – Local consulting company, Olibecca Consulting have been tasked with implementing a signify software performance management system for Gateway Airport Authority Limited (GAAL).
The project involves cleaning up key performance indicators and eliminating paper-based performance assessments and appraisals before introducing the application.
Managing Director of Olibecca Consulting, Lehumo Malema, initiated the project in July and says it will go live before the end of November at Polokwane International Airport. Malema says the electronic performance management system will track the individual performance of employees and will generate overall performance reports for the company.
“We set the key performance indicators according to GAAL’s performance projections and each employee will be rated according to an indicator out of five. We believe this will improve job satisfaction,” he explains.
“What makes this project special is the fact that the system is locally manufactured, so it is also propagating support for local businesses,” Malema continues.
He adds his company was approached by GAAL and believes they are the local solution to helping place Polokwane International Airport on the map. “It is a great deal for Olibecca Consulting to be part of this project, it means GAAL has faith in us to do a good job and we are now a part of the growth of the company,” Malema says.
