A young love rooted in faith
Johan Geldenhuys and Crystal-Mari Fraser, a recently engaged couple in the city are excited to celebrate their first Valentine’s Day as husband and wife to-be.
POLOKWANE – The couple started the new year off on a high note as Johan popped the question on 1 January.
Crystal-Mari tells Review she said yes because she could see in the way he lives that Johan is a good man and he walks a path with God.
The two have been together for only four months, and say the time frame doesn’t matter because they see their life partner in each other. “We know what we want, and we know that our Heavenly Father did an extraordinary miracle one Sunday when He spoke to both of us in Church and told us that we are meant for each other,” Johan explains.
The pair have a lot in common as both enjoy camping, fishing and both have a huge passion for their faith.
They say that although they enjoy spending time together, it isn’t always easy for them to communicate. “We both don’t like to be wrong so it is sometimes hard to admit, but we are working on it and we are trying to be as open as possible towards each other” Crystal-Mari says.
“Through making Jesus Christ the centre of our marriage we know we will be successful, Jesus is the best example of true love, and when tough times come around, we will always remember why we chose to marry in the first place,” Johan says.
Johan and Crystal-Mari will wed on 15 July 2017 and both say they cannot wait to spend the rest of their lives together.
