POLOKWANE – Zacharias Christiaan Mills, beter bekend as Oom Sakkie, is Sondag na ‘n lang siekbed aan ‘n hartaanval dood.
Meeste inwoners het hom geken as die vriendelike karwag by die Limpopo Mediclinic wie graag raad gegee het en ‘n positiewe uitkyk op die lewe gehad het.
Vriende beskryf hom as ‘n opregte mens, altyd vriendelik en altyd bereid om te help. Sy gesegde: “Hou die blink kant bo, en die stink kant onder,” was wel-bekend onder diegene wie hom geken het.
“My hart is stukkend. Hy het my altyd eerste gesit en sy dood los ‘n groot leemte in my hart,” vertel sy dogter, Suretha Minnaar.
Hy laat sy vrou Alta, dogter Suretha en broers, Willie, Hans en Daan na.
Sy begrafnis het Vrydag vanuit die N.G. Moedergemeente plaasgevind.
