Heavy rain expected for Polokwane today

Motorists are advised to drive carefully and keep a safe following distance.

POLOKWANE – Residents and motorists are advised of heavy rain expected in the city today.

According to the South African Weather Service, the south western region of the province has been placed under a heavy rain warning, including Polokwane.

The weather service says that heavy rain leading to possible localized flooding is expected in places over the southern parts of Waterberg, Sekhukhune, south of Mopani Districts of Limpopo tonight till tomorrow morning.

There is also a warning for flooding which is expected in places in the Vhembe and Mopani District Municipalities of Limpopo today and tomorrow.

The heavy rain follows ex Tropical Storm Dineo which made landfall in the province last week.
