BWASA ends 2017 on a bubbly note
Business Women's Association South Africa (BWASA) held its year-end function to celebrate their hard work as well as to congratulate the newly elected BWASA President, Happy Ralinala.
POLOKWANE – The function took place at the Polokwane Royal Hotel on Thursday, 30 November where business women from several companies spanning across the province came together for this esteemed ceremony. Pastor Nkhensani Mushwana opened the ceremony with prayer and Energy FM presenter, Mpho Maumela soon thereafer assumed her role as the programme director.
Happy, who was also called to the podium to share a few words as the newly elected BWASA President mentioned the five important rules which inherent values within the organisation.
These include winning the hearts of their members, creating an operationally fit institution that runs smoothly, conquering long term relationships for sponsors to come work with them, positioning the BWASA brand and living up to their name and making a difference in our communities and how do they as women give back to the community.
“The three segments of women that BWASA assists are women at schools (from Gr 10 to university), employed women that are in small or big businesses, we support them to grow their businesses, and we also assist self employed women (entrepreneur women),” she said.
According to Mpho, BWASA had recently adopted a school in Seshego where they groom and motivate the young girls to grow into sucessful independent business women.

Former BWASA Limpopo Chairperson, Princess Tsakani Nkambule was also in attendance applauding the BWASA Limpopo Chairperson, Bella Mabogoshi for her guidance and for empowering women in business, taking a step back to ensure that they have their moment in the limelight after being well groomed.
Upon mentioning that the market place is for women, Happy explained that the association has plans to create a platform in which women will be able to trade with one another through various business ventures.
“The economy is basically a woman, just take a look at all the qualities of an economy, it nurtures, it cares, it does all that women do.
“We are here to create greater opportunities for women.
“It is high time that we start getting inside the industries which we don’t usually get ourselves into. When women have opportunities, they usually create job employment for other women, and that is the motto we want to achieve within the BWASA.
“How do we best bring the women who are in the informal sector into the formal sector? That is the question we must always ask ourselves as business women,” she explained.
The ladies were also treated to a a Zumba workout session with Zumba instructor, Sadie Moabelo.
