Police are still searching for the suspects responsible for incidents of business robbery at local filling stations where the drop safes were bombed and an undisclosed amount of cash robbed during two separate incidents last Wednesday and Monday morning.
The latest incident was reported at Total in Thabo Mbeki Street, Ster Park when three armed suspects entered the convenience store at about 02:45 on Monday and held up staff.
According to Provincial Police Corporate Communications Head Motlafela Mojapelo the suspects allegedly took R6 000 from the cash registers and blew up the drop-safe before taking off with an unknown amount of cash.
They fled the scene in a white Mercedes-Benz with an unknown registration number.
Nobody was injured during the robbery and no arrests have been made yet, Mojapelo informed.
During the first incident at Total Nobody just outside Mankweng last Wednesday a group of armed suspects stormed the station at about 02:00 and pointed firearms at the staff.
They blasted the drop-safe and fled the scene in two vehicles with an undisclosed amount of cash.
