Churchman drowns while performing baptism outside Seshego
The Seshego police are investigating an incident where a middle aged man drowned at Blood River village on Sunday.
LIMPOPO – “It is alleged the man was baptising fellow church members when the drowning occurred.
According to police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the police were notified and the body of the deceased was retrieved by the Police Search and Rescue Unit.
“The public are once again cautioned to be careful when using dams and rivers for any reason including religious activities. Residents are further advised to only enter water under close supervision to prevent this type of incident happening again,” concluded Ngoepe.
