Marlo Nursery held a successful farmers’ day last Thursday, with more than 600 guests and exhibitors attending.
According to Jurgens van Aswegen, Marketer of Marlo Nursery, the main objective of the day was to showcase innovation in seedling cultivation as well as competitive trials of all major vegetable cultivars. The main sponsor of the day was FNB, which was supported by 35 other industry related exhibitors.
The trials afforded guests the rare opportunity to see over 600 cultivars of 11 major vegetable seed companies, that was cultivated under similar managerial and climatic conditions and it is the only trial of this scale that was supported by all the major seed companies in South Africa.
The Rotary Club of Pietersburg 100 was responsible for serving a spit braai and salads to the guests.
