Juicy dream for young innovator from Jane Furse
Rodney Masha (16) makes juice making machines from broken electronic appliances.

LIMPOPO – Rodney Masha is a creative soul with an idea he hopes will sell all over the country.
The 16-year-old from Jane Furse uses old electronic parts to create juicers. “I go to dumping sites in my area and look for used and broken electronic appliances. I then combine the parts to make the machine,” he said.
Masha said he used to often try and create new things but found himself in the habit of making things that already exist. That was until he came up with the idea of making juicers.
It took him three months to complete the first machine. Masha did not want to disclose too much about which parts he uses to make the juicer, besides that he uses a motor, because he does not want anyone to take advantage of his design and produce something similar.
“I cannot afford tape and instead use plastics to cover exposed wires on the machine. I only use used materials,” he explained.
Masha hopes to gain a sponsor so that he will be able to create more juicers and show the world what he is capable of.
“I have had no luck thus far to find a sponsor. I had people who looked at the product and said they will assist me soon. No amount is too small and I would appreciate any kind of help from anyone,” he concluded.
Anyone who might be able to assist Masha can contact him at 064 013 4760.
