Limpopo bus accident leaves 2 dead, 17 injured
The incident happened on the Nsami road near Man'ombe Mountain outside Giyani on Tuesday morning.
LIMPOPO – Two people were killed and 17 seriously injured after a bus and sedan collided on the Nsami road at around 06:10 on Tuesday morning. Spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Mike Maringa says preliminary investigations revealed speeding as the possible cause of the accident. “It is alleged the driver of the bus was attempting to overtake two other vehicles when they collided with an oncoming vehicle. The bus then veered off the road and overturned.”

Two people were certified dead on the scene and seventeen others were transported to the Khensani hospital for treatment.

The road will be temporarily closed to allow for forensic investigations and motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible.
