The secretary of the Khaiso Foundation, Madimetja Chepape told Bonus that the initiative aimed to give back to the community.
POLOKWANE – The Khaiso Foundation hosted a career exhibition at the Ngwako Ramatlhodi hall in Seshego on Friday, giving high school learners exposure to the various careers that await them after school.
This foundation employs several individuals who happens to be Khaiso High School alumni.
Universities and TVET colleges from across the province were invited to talk to learners from high schools in Seshego about possible careers as well as their admission requirements.
Different departments gave words of motivation and encouragement to current Gr 12s.

The activities included a play by Get Down Productions (Youth Towards Change), written by Matome Rapetsoa, that aimed at educating learners about social issues that may destroy their dreams.
The secretary of the Khaiso Foundation, Madimetja Chepape told BONUS that the initiative aimed to give back to the community.

“We intend to plough back, and we have never had a career exhibition when we were at school, so we thought of doing one for this generation.”
Khaiso High School principal Mosima Teffu acknowledged the work done and believes that change will prevail.
Learners also responded positively and are certain that it will no longer be hard for them to choose careers.

“I am repeating Gr 12 because I did not know what career I wanted, but after today’s sessions I know, and I am happy to have taken part in this,” said Paballo Semenya, a learner from Lithuli Park Combined School.
