Emergency water shutdown to affect suburbs in Polokwane

The six hour shutdown will affect several areas in Polokwane from 07:00 to 13:00.

POLOKWANE – An emergency shutdown of the Sand River North Pump Station will affect several areas in the city on Thursday (May 18).

The six hour shutdown is for a municipal team to replace a worn-out valve and repairs will take place from 07:00 to 13:00.

The following areas will be affected:

  • Ladanna
  • Emdo Mahlako-a-phahla
  • Mahlasedi Park
  • Lesedi Park
  • Lithuli Park
  • The industrial area of Polokwane X8
  • Annadale (including the army base)

Municipal spokesperson Thipa Selala said consumers in areas receiving water are urged to use it sparingly.
